ALAG-THE MOVIE

ALAG-The Movie.. Or The Movie which is ALAG..
The movie starts with a small introduction wherein the audience is exposed to the cruel side of the world by a scientist who is inclined to acquiring fame and money in lieu of innocent peoples' lives. Here, Light really plays with the audience' love for visual beauty cuz its been excellently exploited. Its a real treat to eyes! Therefore really, the most beautiful part of the movie is the beautiful use of light [Art direction] accompanied by equally beautiful background score [as well as the music by "AADESH SRIVASTAVA"]. After the scientist lets us know about his excruciating intentions, the camera focuses on a place called MAHABALESHWAR where the central protagonist's mystic world is revealed to the audience. The director very beautifully tackles the "superstition" element which is by default attached with this word "mystic". Ahh.. Finally.. Now we are introduced to "TEJAS RASTOGI"- the main character of the movie by "POORVA RANA" (No description.. Watch the movie!!)
As the story progresses, a few clippings of his past are very skillfully stitched into the main story. And from this point onwards the movie starts..

What I really liked in this movie (my interpretation):

  1. LIGHT: Light finds its existance only on half the part of the focused object.. Giving momentum to the "duality" [DARK and LIGHT sides of a human being] concept which adds on mystic beauty to the whole movie..
  2. MUSIC: Who doesnt like music?? The music very easily merges with the ongoin of the movie.. really nice..
  3. CENTRAL CHARACTER: The central character of the movie is a boy named "Tejas" who hadnt yet been polluted by the outer world.. What I liked in this character are PURITY and HONESTY holding on to him

Well, If, I am asked for my opinion.. I would really say "its a worth watch"!! :)

Signing off..
Shruti
